Conversation with Graham, aka "Gravel", regarding the big view on his trip out West

"So Graham, what's your impression of the West?"
"Well," Graham says, as the two of us sit on the edge of the relentless basketball players on the concrete playing court, "the sky here is amazing. When you look up you see how vast and how blue it is. There are no buildings around to block one's view.
"Before we came out here, Ms. Kabia kept stressing how beautiful it is but until you can actually get here and see it . . . it's just . . ."
Normally, Gravel is never at a loss for words, but he had no more adjectives to describe the scenery.
"Plus," Graham added, "we were talking in my group about our having been in four states in four days: New York, Colorado, Wyoming and Idaho. Very cool!"
