FOXES challenge hike- oh, what a day!

We had a fantastic day in the field with the Foxes- Alanna, Ella, Olive, Laura, Isabel, Violet, Vicky, Katsy, Mac, Idriys, Diego, and George. We ran into a herd of bison on the way to the trail head in Teton National Park! Students began by analyzing maps of the area and learning to navigate while blindfolded. The Foxes then took turns navigating maps along our path up into the Gros Vente range. We took lunch in some high grass off the path and then forged on up to our destination: Coyote Rock! There, perched up high, we basked in a stunning view of the Tetons and valley below, and a few Foxes sketched in water colors and did yoga poses while others rested their paws. Finally, we had a blast playing Camouflage in the sagebrush and Aspen groves. A fun, fulfilling day.... but it's not over! We are just now arriving back at TSS and will have a 45 minute break before heading back out into the mountains for an evening picnic and some elk bugling! Woo-woo!
